Cozy video painting Hadwig the owl from Hogwarts

I found it fascinating to learn that Hadwig is a girl and named after Saint Hadwig, the patron Saint of orphans. Given that Harry Potter is an orphan, I find it so sweet that he has Hadwig to look over him. I hope you enjoy it 🙂

I apologise in advance if my breathing is loud…the camera is right next to my face and picks up all the noises I make – I hold my breath when trying to get fine detail and then gasp for air. I used a grey/blue mix for the base washes and shadowing. It was my first time attempting to paint a white bird. I used my knowledge of painting white flowers – I think it worked rather well.

On a side note, I really would love to explore making my own shopping list pads with my art printed on them. Mostly because I really need a new grocery list pad. So, I thought “why not make my own”…what could go wrong.
